Girl ni baru nak celebrate birthday yang ke-6 bila dia di diagnose ada Brain Cancer. Then dia stat wat love note and sembunyi kat rata-rata tempat kat dalam umah dia untuk parents dia jumpa. Maybe dia fikir after dia dah takde, diorang still tahu yang dia saaayang parents dia bila diorang jumpa note-note tu. Bukan sikit tau, beratus-ratus!
Cite dia cenggini: (aku copy paste so that tak lari jalan cerita, ok)
Just before her sixth birthday, Elena Desserich was diagnosed with brain cancer and given 135 days to live. She lived 255 days, passing away in 2007. After her death, Elena’s parents, Brooke and Keith, found hundreds of notes from Elena hidden around the house — in between CD cases, between bookshelves, in dresser drawers, in backpacks….
"It just felt like a little hug from her, like she was telling us she was looking over us"
During her nine-month battle with cancer, Elena was planning an even greater gift for her family. She was hiding notes around the house, hundreds of them tucked in every corner to be discovered after she was gone.
"We were moving some boxes around one day and in between some of the books a note fell out," her mother, Brooke Desserich, said.
"Each time I would read one of those notes it was like a little hug from her."
Ni contoh2 note yang dia buat:
Elena’s parents, Brooke and Keith Desserich, have now published these notes in a book called Notes Left Behind to fund a non-profit organization The Cure Starts Now dedicated to fighting pediatric brain cancer.
